District Cricket Fixture Day

On Monday, the U15’s Cricket side travelled to Oundle School to compete in a newly formed district cricket fixture day, which allows all the school fixtures to take place in one day. KSA were joined by Kingswood Secondary Academy and Prince William School in the group stage.

In the first game, Kingswood scored 61-3 off their 10 overs with Hamid, Ashdeep and Ross taking a wicket each. KSA made easy work of the target knocking it off 1 wicket down with Vijesh scoring 18 not out, Hamid 13 not out and Ben chipping in with 13 also.

In the second game, Prince William scored 45-5, with 2 wickets a piece for Kyle and Ashdeep and 1 for Hamid. KSA knocked the total off with ease with Hamid smashing a quick 23 not out supported by Vijesh scoring 6 not out.

KSA went through as winners of the group to play an extremely impressive Brooke Weston side who won the other group with ease.

In the Final Brooke Weston batted first racking up an impressive total of 100-2 with Vijesh taking a wicket and an impressive run out from Ross. KSA only managed 53 in reply with Ben scoring 20, Hamid scoring a quick 16 and Vijesh scoring 9.

PE teacher Mr Will Baines said ‘The day was a great success at a fantastic facility. Congratulations to all the players involved on the day in finishing as Runners up of the Kettering and Corby Schools competition. Well done Ben, Vijesh, Hamid, Carter, Shaun, Ben, Ross, Ashdeep, Josh, Kyle, Ahmed, Cameron.’
