Students are well underway with their fundraising efforts to raise money for the once in a lifetime trip to Kenya.

The trip will see 23 students from Years 10, 11 and 12 travel to Kenya in Summer 2018 to go on a 4 week expedition. Just a few of the ways students have been raising money include, holding a carboot sale, oranising a ball in the garden, bag packing and selling cakes at their local butchers. Some of the student also took part in a live interview with Northampton’s Inspiration FM to promote themselves and their trip.

The students are now busy organising a Year 7 disco, which will take place on Thursday 2nd November after half term and a family quiz night.

Durign the trip students will have the opportunity to take part in projects to improve the standards of living for rural communities. The students will also visit the beach, go on safari for a chance to catch the ‘Big 5’ and take part in a three day forest trek on Mount Kasigau.

Teacher Rachael Davies said ‘The students have done really well with their fundraising efforts to far. They have come up with some brilliant ideas and I am confident that they will be a successful group.’
