On Friday a group of students from KSA visited Franklin's Gardens, home to the Northampton Saints as part of a Trust rugby trip.

Students from secondary schools across the Brooke Weston Trust took part in a training session led by the Saints coaches. The students were treated to an exciting tour of the grounds in which they had the chance to see all the area usually off limits to the public, including the changing rooms and gym.

To end the day there was a tournament against the other Trust schools: Brooke Weston Academy, Corby Business Academy, Corby Technical School and Thomas Clarkson Academy. BWA were crowned overall champions.

PE teacher, Mr Liam Feely said ‘It was a brilliant day and a rare opportunity for the students to be coached my the team. It was very inspirational, especially seeing the first team training. The students played very well and I am proud of their efforts. The students had lots of fun and I hope it will inspire some them to take up rugby and other team sports.’
