Year 9 students recently took part in a STEM competition held at Bishop Stopford.

During the event, KSA joined other schools from the local area to take part in a series of smaller and larger STEM based challenges. Each activity was focused on teamwork and allowed the students to score points.

At the end of the competition points were added up and it was announced that KSA achieved overall third place.

Student Katie S said: ‘The STEM competition was very fun and could sometimes be challenging. The organisation of the activities was excellent and Bishop provided many smaller activities, such as Maths worksheets, to collect more points. In the end, we acquired over 8000 points and came 3rd.’

Student Sophie S said: ‘The STEM competition at Bishop was a very enjoyable experience. There was always something to do between the main activities like mini maths challenges or identification challenges. It was fun.’

Student Ethan R said: The STEM event was fun because it helped us focus on teamwork skills and was all really fun all-round. Everyone had their own part and there was a lot to do. I also really enjoyed being able to see some of my friends that go to Bishop as well as the actual event.’

Well done to all the students who took part in the competition.
