Top Marks For Food Hygiene In Restaurant

KSA’s restaurant has been awarded five stars – the highest possible – for its standards of food hygiene.

An Environmental Health Officer from Kettering Borough Council paid a visit to the Academy to see how standards are maintained in both the primary and secondary phases.

Catering Manager Clare Bennett (pictured with the certificate) said: "They look at every aspect, from the raw produce coming off the trucks and being delivered into school, to the finished item that we serve.

"They look at our food handling skills, what training the team has had, where we buy our food from and how it is stored.

"There were also checks on the records we keep on food temperature and how the food is probed to make sure it's kept at the right temperature."
