Students Take Inspiration From American Hit TV Series

A new club has started up to prepare students for next term’s hotly awaited talent show.

Glee Club is taking place after school on Tuesdays with the aim of helping our aspiring musical stars to hit all the right notes for the KSA Talent Show being held on June 22nd at the Masque Theatre in Barton Seagrave.

Auditions were held last week and students will find out shortly whether they have made it through to the KSA Talent Show.

The winning three acts from the show will then go forward to the K Factor - a town wide event that showcases young talent.

Music Teacher Ruth Reider said: "We have a legacy in the K Factor, with a previous student actually winning it in 2008, so it will be great to put through some good acts to the K Factor.

"The audience from the KSA talent show in June will decide who are final acts are.

"We have had students from all years enter the auditions, and there are some great acts."

Times of both the KSA talent show and the K Factor (being staged on July 23rd) are to be confirmed.

Glee Club will take place on Tuesdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm in the Music Room.
