Introducing New Governor

A parent with a keen interest in developing sporting opportunities has been appointed to the KSA Governing Board.

A parent with a keen interest in developing sporting opportunities has been appointed to the KSA Governing Board.
Laurence Kenyon, was appointed as a new Parent Governor at the academy at the end of last term and is keen to play his part in the future successes at KSA.
Mr Kenyon, who works for the  British Judo Association said: “My background is in sports development, and I have worked in various different disciplines. I have worked for the Rugby Football Union in Derbyshire, the Sports Development Partnership in Thrapston and I also worked for six months at KSA as a cover supervisor. 
“I have been working with schools for most of my career and my work at KSA also provided me with a greater understanding of the academy and how it operates.”
 Mr Kenyon, is a parent of three children at KSA. His son is in Year 11, his eldest daughter in Year 10 and his younger daughter is in Year 4.
He said as a parent of three children at the school and in both phases, he has an avid interest in the school in regard to getting the best education and opportunities for his children and all the other students at KSA.
Mr Kenyon has attended the Parent Consultation Group meetings and the recent discussion over the development of the Academy’s Progress Report.
He said: “I am looking forward to helping at KSA in any way I can. I would also like to help with the sports side of the academy and look at the how the academy can link more into the community.
“It is a school with great facilities and I look forward to actively helping to make a difference.”
