Year 7 students approached their recent science homework on cells in very different ways.
The students were asked to look at the key features of animal and plant cells and draw and label cell diagrams.
They were asked to feature: cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, chloroplasts, vacuole and cell wall.
In addition to the diagrams students had the option to create a 3D model to represent a plant or animal cell and the Year 7 students rose to the challenge and produced some very creative models.

Cassandra Avery had baked and decorated a cake as her 3D cell model.

Sara Dinu had chosen to add sparkle to her version.

Jay Hammond used furry material on his creation.

Science teacher, Mrs Louise Oliver said: “We were very impressed by the results from the students and the level of time and effort put into working on this project at home. We are very pleased with the varied interpretations of this homework.”
Sixth Formers were also invited to  view the students’ creations during the Year 7 science lesson last week.
