Best Ever GCSE Results For Pupils At New Academy

Kettering Science Academy is celebrating significant improvements in GCSE results in just its first year.

The number of students achieving five or more A* to C grades rose to 54% compared to last year's figure of 49%.

And the number of pupils picking up top grades which included maths and English also rose from 36% last year to 41%.

Top achievers included Josh Haxell who was awarded eight A*s and three As and Katie Robinson who achieved five A*s, five As and one B.

With an overall pass rate of 97.5%, the results of a drive to improve standards are clearly evident.

Principal Martin Campbell congratulated Year 11 and said: "This is the first year of Kettering Science Academy and the results are outstanding. We have improved across the board in almost every subject.

"The improvement is testament to the hardwork, commitment and dedication of all the staff at KSA."
