A group of our Year 13 students spent time in London as part of a recent economics trip that took them to the financial and political districts of the city.
The sixth formers visited London earlier this the month as part of their A level studies and the day visit provided with an insight into the city’s financial quarter.
The trip started with a tour of the Bank of England and museum and they learnt about financial history, gold bars and monetary methodology.
Mathematics teacher at KSA, Mr Martin Shepherd said: “A stroll between the banks, insurance companies and stockbrokers underpinned our students understanding of the wealth of this area. The group also took in a few tourist stops including the Gherkin and we climbed up to the top of the Monument to take in the view of the city.
“The second half of the day was spent in the political district of Westminster visiting the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall and Downing Street.”
