KSA To Welcome Saudi Visitors

A group of teachers from Saudi Arabia will visit KSA next month thanks to a project which has seen our students link up with Saudi schools.

KSA joined the Connecting Classrooms programme and as part of the scheme, the Culture Club has been studying Saudi Arabia and forging links with schools there.

As a result, a trip has been arranged and on October 12th, the group of Saudi teachers will visit KSA to gain an understanding of how this country's education system works.

The visit will include a presentation on the new build, a dance presentation by students, a tour of the Primary Phase and visiting classes.

The Culture Club, which is an after-school programme, has been busy making culture boxes (pictured) filled with items that represent their culture which will be exchanged with the Saudi visitors.

Art Teacher Raj Masand has also got the Art Club involved, with club members helping to produce pieces of artwork.
Natasha Franklin, who runs Culture Club, said:  "This is an exciting opportunity to show off our school and to learn from our guests about the education system in Saudi.
"We are very much looking forward to this visit and we hope they enjoy spending the day with us."

The group will be in the UK for a week and will also be visiting the other partner schools in the project - Magdalen College School and Northampton School for Boys.

They will also be attending a Mayor of Northampton reception and rounding the visit off with a trip to London.
