Kettering Science Academy has appointed the new senior student team for this academic year.

Each of the candidates made speeches to their peers explaining why they were suitable and what improvements they would make for Sixth Form students.

The students then voted for the applicants they felt would best represent them.

Head Boy Joe Smallman said ‘I am really excited about the role and hope to make many improvements. I want to arrange more social events and create more study areas for the students.’

Head Girl Hannah Winstone said ‘I also want to work towards creating more study areas by having timetables of free rooms and computer areas. I am keen to make the sports facilities available for students to use in their free periods.’

Myles Tew was voted Deputy Head Boy whilst Ramandeep Hayer was voted Deputy Head Girl.

Joe and Hannah will be making speeches at the Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 8th November.
