Pass Rate For Sixth Formers Hits 99%

Almost a third of Sixth Formers at KSA achieved the top grades of A*, A or B, this year’s A Level results have shown.

KSA celebrated its highest ever pass rate, which increased from 96% last August to 99% this summer.

With around 16% of students achieving A* and A grades and 31% awarded an A*, A or B, the results demonstrate the Academy's promising future.

There were some excellent individual achievements, including Krishanth Kangatharan who gained an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, a B in Chemistry and an A* in Physics. Janine Alexander achieved an A* in Biology, an A in Geography, a B in Chemistry and an A in Psychology.

Principal Martin Campbell said: "These results are a significant achievement and a 3% increase on last year's pass rate - now at 99% - shows the Academy making good progress in its drive to ensure the best education possible is given to all students.

"There were some outstanding individual results with 7% of students gaining an A*, which again demonstrates quality teaching, quality learning and quality provision in an Academy moving from strength to strength.

"Well done to all students and staff for a magnificent effort."
