Christmas at KSA - December 19th

Celebrate the festive season by joining us for Christmas at KSA – a Christingle service followed by a Christmas Showcase on Wednesday 19th December.

From 5.45pm to 6.45pm, there will be Christingle service for primary families, held around a 17ft Christmas tree in the secondary phase courtyard and led by Revd Dr Rob Bewley from Christ the King Church. It will include carols, a tableau of a nativity scene, mince pies and mulled wine.

From 7pm to 8pm, a Christmas Showcase will be held in the theatre, giving our budding musicians the chance to demonstrate what they have been learning during after-school clubs. It will feature the Year 7 band's first ever performance, the KSA choir, a staff performance using iPad technology, magic by Jamie Docherty and solo performances. There will also be readings, dance pieces and a staging of 'The Night Before Christmas' by the Key Stage 2 drama club.

Residents from local care homes for the elderly are being invited in the day before to watch rehearsals.

Aaron Panther-Howell, head of expressive arts, said: "It will show a whole range of abilities, from those who have just started learning an instrument to our well-established performers. I think it will get people in the Christmas spirit so bring along your family and friends."

The evening is free and open to both parents and the local community.
