There is a new library App available that allows for students and staff to have access to the Kettering Science Academy’s book and borrowing lists whilst on the move.
The App can be downloaded on a mobile device via a special QR code and can be viewed at any time at home or on the go.
The Library Manager System’s App allows for the user to view new books that have arrived into KSA’s library, which books have been recently returned, the top ten books, the book of the week, the latest reviews and includes a scanning device to allow for the user to see if a certain book is available in the library by its ISBN no.
There is also the facility to look at details about the top 100 most popular fiction titles for girls and boys, the top 100 most popular non-fiction for girls and boys and the top 100 authors of fiction and non-fiction books.
Head Librarian for Kettering Science Academy, Heidi Economou said: “This is a great App for the library and a great addition to our library offering. It is like having the school’s library in your pocket and it can allow students and staff to browse the library’s shelves at their leisure and virtually without stepping into the actual library.”

To download the App on an iPhone or Android device is easy by just scanning the QR code below on the poster and found in the Academy’s Library.
Then download instructions of how to download it from the App Store or Google Play for free are sent to the mobile device.
Then the student or staff member can then sign into the App using their normal student or staff ID and password. Parents can also log in as a guest user.
