Inter-Schools Sports Event

A group of our Year 4 pupils took part in an inter-schools sports competition at Oakley Vale Primary School last week and they were successful at sports that were new to them.
On Thursday, June 25th a team of four pupils from the primary phase took part in the Brooke Weston Trust Sports Competition, held at the primary school in Corby.
Year 4 Teacher, Chris WoolHouse said: “The children took part in two sports which they previously had had very little experience, Bench Hockey and Archery.  They very much enjoyed playing Bench Hockey and got more used to the rules with every match they completed ultimately winning their final game.
“After lunch the children took part in an Archery competition; the children needed to have a steady hand, a good eye and their accuracy was impressive.”
He added: “The children had a lot of fun, developed lots of new skills and represented the school brilliantly demonstrating perfect behaviour and sportsmanship.”

The Year 4 pupils that took part in the event were: Gracie Ashby-Evans, Findley Panter-Howell, Olivia Rozee and Finlay Conway.
