The librarians at the Secondary Phase library are looking for assistants.
The library is advertising for 10 Student Librarians to help in the Academy’s library from the end of September until July 2016.
The team of junior librarians are being sought to assist in many library tasks including issuing, checking and returning books to the shelves and helping fellow students to find information and other helpful resources.
They will also be asked to consult with other library users about their favourite books and other literature that they found to be beneficial.
The role will also include general tidying and organising tasks and they will be asked to be present at one of the school’s Open Evening events.
Head Librarian, Mrs Heidi Economou said: “We are currently looking for students to put themselves forward for the librarian roles at the Academy. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate good communication skills, have an enthusiasm for reading and for books and are well-mannered, good-humoured and be willing to learn how the library systems operate.”
Mrs Economou added: “The role of a Student Librarian would suit a student looking to demonstrate leadership skills and whole-school involvement.”

Applications forms and job description are available in the library or click below for more information.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 25th September and interviews will take place on Tuesday, 29th September.
