The Academy will be looking to acknowledge Roald Dahl Day by introducing students to the missing chapter from one of the author’s novels.
The Secondary Phase library is celebrating the author’s special day by inviting students at KSA to read the lost chapter of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book entitled ‘Spotty Powder’.
Library staff are also running two competitions, a themed Roald Dahl word search and a 'Design a Sweet Competition'.
Head Librarian, Mrs Heidi Economou said: “We are keen to mark this author’s day within the Academy library and we thought it would be fitting to share with the students the missing chapter of one his most popular books. Students can read it online via the Fiction Circus website and we will have printed handouts available in the library.
“The novel of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has also inspired our 'Design a Sweet Competition' and we are looking for brightest and wackiest sweets that the students can create. There will be a prize for the best design.”

In the Primary Phase the pupils will be studying Roald Dahl books in their English classes on Wednesday morning, 16th September and will also be creating artwork relating to the books in the afternoon.
