Around 150 of our Year 10 students visited World Skills Live UK at the NEC in Birmingham. The event is the biggest skills, apprenticeship and careers event in the UK.
A group of our GCSE and A level students had an eye-opening experience at a recent computer science event at Warwick University.
Ofsted inspectors say that students at Kettering Science Academy are happy and ‘speak warmly about their supportive teachers’ and that ‘school leaders want pupils to succeed’ and live up to the school’s motto of ‘being the best you can be.’ They pinpointed key areas, such as the Sixth Form and Safeguarding for particularly positive comments in their most recent report.
Around 100 young people attended our Sixth Form Open Evening exploring their options for the next step in their educational journey.
As part of the Battlefields tours programme led by UCL, Year 10 students travelled to Ypres and the Somme to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives during WW1.
Thanks to all our students and staff who took part in activities to raise funds for Children in Need.

Kettering Science Academy students saw award-winning and best-selling American poet and author Kwame Alexander gave an electrifying performance to hundreds of students from our Trust schools and beyond.
Our teachers joined others from our Trust secondary schools for a day of training focusing on school improvement, curriculum implementation and the quality of education.
Congratulations to Mr Tony Segalini who has been promoted to Principal of Kettering Science Academy two years after taking the helm.
Well done to KSA student Samia Sheik who will represent Great Britain in a chess competition in Peru next year.
