KSA Race for Life raises nearly £3,000

PE teacher, Mrs Dawn Ferguson organised a Race for Life to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Over 300 students took part in the sponsored Fun Run, which featured a variety of obstacles such as tyres, weights, balancing beams and nets and raised a total of £2930.40.
Entrant wore badges to show who they were running for and each received a medal for their efforts.
Mrs Ferguson said ‘I would just like to say a massive thank you for all your efforts in making the Race for life a great success.
‘All the runners had such fun completing the course and raising money at the same time for a great cause.’

£1,000 sets up a PhD student to start research.

£250 buys an antibody to light up and identify cancerous cells.
