Student blog of Greece trip

Our big journey to Greece 2018 Trip started on 21st March, we had some tiring travelling but it was fun. When we say tiring it wasn’t too hard it just affected us the next day.

On the same day we visited Loutraki beach and it was beautiful something that couldn’t be put into words. Our journey turned a whole 180 degrees when we were doing a performance warm up with the Greek theatre practitioners Jo, Angela and Eris. Then we went on to develop our choral skills and created a piece of drama using only four words: Yes, No, Maybe and Why. We worked with people we were not expecting to work with but it ended up making our pieces better. Later that day we had a fun time chilling with are friends.

Thursday 22nd March we all started to practice and create a piece of tragedy with the magnificent teachers Miss Watkinson, Mrs Doherty and Mr Peixoto. We put maximum effort in and had a great time doing so. Without the teachers our performances would have never have been as good as they were. Then at 2:30 pm Greek time we left to a local Loutraki park to show off our performances and great singing of a Latin song. We then went to town, buying gifts and memories not to forget this magical trip. We got back on the coach and headed to a lake and a lighthouse climbing up mountains taking millions of pictures. There was a view you would only see once in your life time and we felt really lucky to see this. As a group we got back to the Sports Camp and prepared for a spectacular talent show and honestly we all did amazing. That day ended well.

The next day we visited the Acropolis, Theatre of Dionysus and the Plaka District in Athens, we learned so much in one day it was unbelievable. We went to all kind of structures possible about Greece and mountains, all the students ate ice cream, which was, mind blowing and delicious. We went round buying amazing gifts for are teachers to thank them for what they did for us and for each other and Paulo got one of the best gifts. This trip will hopefully stay on through KSA. Thank you for organising this trip and this has been a memorable week.

The journey started on 21st of March and Finished on the 23rd of March. We truly thank all the teachers who made this possible.
