A level students at KSA are celebrating after achieving an overall pass rate of 100%, with a number of students securing places at some of the top Russell group universities in the country and one student has even secured a place at Harvard.

The average point score per student has increased by almost 50% this year going from 64.4 to 91.7, whilst students achieving 3 or more A*- B grades has increased from 7.5% to 18.2%.

Particularly strong subjects this year included Biology, History, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology.

85% of students are going on to university this year with the remainder opting for apprenticeships or college placements. Top performing student Niamh Sheikh achieved three A* grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics and 2 A grades in Chemistry and Italian. Naim will go on to study Physics at Durham University.

Other top performing students going on to study at university include Lee Baker who achieved an A* and four A grades, Adam Doughty who achieved two A* grades and an A, Amrik Basra who achieved an A* and two A grades and Tommy Winstone who achieved four A grades.

This is also an exciting time as it is the first year a student from our Academy has been offered a place at Harvard. Sam Blackman is in the top three per cent in the world to get into the university. Mollie Evans has also been offered a degree apprenticeship opportunity in quantity surveying in London.

Principal Mr Tony Segalini said: I am delighted at this year’s improved results. I am very proud of both the students and staff for all the hard work they have put in over the last 2 years. I wish all our students the very best of luck for their future, which they will be going into with this great set of results. These results are yet another examples of how KSA is continuing to go from strength to strength.’
