Focus on After-School Clubs: Photography

With more than 30 after-school clubs now up and running, students have a wide variety of activities to choose from, whether they are looking to learn a new skill, pick up an extra qualification, get help with coursework or just make new friends.

We'll be looking in more detail at what's on offer and this month the focus is photography.

Photography Club, which is run by Michael Leski, meets on Tuesdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm in the Star Centre.

It is open to all students, both for those already on the courses KSA runs and those who are thinking about taking photography as a choice in the future.

Students learn to look at a subject's aspects and develop a better understanding of how a camera works, along with the themed genres of photography.

Mr Leski said: "We experiment with portrait, sports and action, landscape, architecture, time lapse, film and fashion as well as advertising and product photography.

"The spectrum is really wide and the only limit to what we can do is our imagination. Come along and find out what you can do."
