An Evening of the Creative Arts

KSA held its annual creative arts evening last night, giving parents and visitors the chance to see how talented our students are.

There were displays of artwork, photography and sculptures, dance and music performances and a play by performing arts students.
Art exam pieces and coursework were on show, along with textiles pieces and clay work by our younger students. Singers and musicians who have been working with Intersales Music Teaching took to the stage to demonstrate what they have been learning. Dancers who competed in the national Rock Challenge performed the piece they help to choreograph.
Graham Keddie went along to see his son William's A Level artwork. He said: "Holding an event like this motivates students and it also shows the range of teaching that is taking place and the support they're getting. There's a good variety on display."
Year 7 student Britney Bright took part in 'A Scary Play' and she said: "Our parents can see how much we have learnt - at the beginning of the year we weren't that confident. We have learnt a lot about drama and it's fun to perform."
