Think Pink For Breast Cancer Event

A colleague at KSA is asking for support this Friday as she hosts a Pink Friday event in Burton Latimer to help women facing breast cancer.
Mrs Melissa Bingham, who works in the Secondary Phase’s reprographics department, is one of the organisers of a Ladies Night taking place this Friday, 10th October between 7pm and 10pm at the Cricket Club in Burton Latimer.
On offer at the event will be a variety of stalls featuring  jewellery and fashion accessories, gifts, vintage inspired home décor and original craft artists selling their wares. All of whom are aiming to raise lots of funds for the breast cancer charity on the night.
Mrs Bingham said: “We wanted to organise an event to raise funds and awareness for The Breast Cancer Care Support Charity and at the same time bring together local crafters, small businesses and health & beauty practitioners.  It’s a social occasion for ladies who we know and a fantastic opportunity to make new friends. We would like to encourage people to pop along on the night, pay just £5 entrance fee and have a fantastic night out. ”
The event on Friday in Burton Latimer is part of an on-going campaign during October to encourage organisations and groups of people to get together to hold a pink themed event to raise funds and awareness of breast cancer and the charity’s work.
Natalie Lloyd, Pink Fridays’ fundraising officer at Breast Cancer Care, added:  “We’re so grateful to everyone holding a Pink Friday in aid of Breast Cancer Care.  We rely on all our supporters to ensure we can continue to provide our vital information and emotional support network for free. We help thousands of people find a way to live with, through and beyond breast cancer.  With one in eight women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, there has never been such an urgent need for our support services.”

Mrs Bingham also has Breast Cancer Care pin badges available in her reprographics office for a £1 donation.
