The Sixth Form Charity Committee held a very successful Children In Need fundraising appeal at Kettering Science Academy on Friday, 14th November.

Here is how the day went:

Children In Need 2014 at KSA by Sixth Form Student, Jodie Neely

With an abundance of cakes and fun events, it comes as no surprise that this year’s Children In Need event was a great success.
Although the delicious-looking cakes disappeared at an alarming rate, it was soon obvious that the events (the leg-waxing in particular) attracted quite a crowd too and through the charitable cries of pain there were several happy smiles to be seen in the library where the majority of the activities took place on Friday.
Sixth Form Student, Jodie Neely said: “Due to the efforts of our Sixth Form Charity Committee, they raised a grand total of £1,377.82. This was raised with their sheer enthusiasm and comical Pudsey-ears , running of a series of fun events during the week including face-painting, raffle ticket sales and the selling of wrist-bands and badges within both phases of the school."
Well done to the winners of the events, who were Joshua Creighton and Bea Parel, and a big thank you to everyone who took part.
