The winner, runners up and the top entries of KSA’s Christmas Card Competition have been announced.
Students and staff from across the Secondary Phase entered the design a Christmas card competition at the end of last term and for the first time families had the opportunity to get their child’s artwork produced as Christmas cards via www.mychildsart.co.uk
The winner was announced as Year 10 Student, Chloe Roberts.
Chloe said: “I was very surprised and I didn’t think I would win. I am very pleased and I look forward to receiving my prize.”
The runners up were Emily Osborne from Year 10 and Ryan Smith from Year 9.
Other top designs were by:
Year 7 student, Maria Karakas.
Year 8 students, Holly Saunders, Daisy-May Shannon, Bethany Blissett, Mary Precious Ike and Jasmine Butcher.
Year 9 students, Illaria Knibb, Chloe Coleman, Jodie Carlisle and Neryece Rawcliffe
Year 10 Students, Riain Isgar, Harry Bellamy, Leon Caudell and Daisy Simcoe
Year 11 Student, Jessica Morland-Nuttall.
Teacher of Art at KSA, Mrs Neela Haywood said: “We had a great response to this year’s competition with more than 300 designs submitted to the Art department in December.
“The quality of designs was excellent and very varied.  It was really hard to decide on a winning entry and also runners up, and this is why we also wanted to mention some of the other top designs from students.”
She added: “This year, for the first time, we gave families the opportunity to get their child’s artwork printed via My Childs Art and as a result of the sales generated we raised more than £88 for the art department.”
