A group of students interested in studying a Music degree attended an open day at Birmingham Conservatoire.  The students found out what life was like at the university, what modules they could study and potential careers the course could lead to.

On arrival Principal Julian Lloyd Webber welcomed students. He explained the benefits and opportunities of studying in the country's second largest city with concerts halls such as the Town Hall and Symphony Hall.

The students then visited a variety of workshops to give them an insight into the modules on offer at the Conservatoire including a Jazz concert and Open Opera Rehearsal.

Throughout the day tours were held to visit the new £57 Million building and accommodation in the Eastside ‘learning quarter’ of the city. The construction will allow students to collaborate with the Schools of Acting, Art and Media that are already located at the City Centre Campus.
