Students from KSA held a cake and coffee morning and after school cake sale to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The students not only helped to sell the cakes, but also helped organise the event and bake cakes. There was also a ‘guess the height of the cake’ competition and awards were given for the best cake by staff, Key Stage 3 students and Key Stage 4 students. This helped the school to raise a total of £250 for the charity.

The winners of the cake competition are as follows:
Key Stage 3 students – Firenza C for her gorgeous Jaffa chocolate cake
Key Stage 4 students – Lewis B for his delicious Millionaires chocolate cake
Staff- Kathryn B for her beautiful lemon curd sponge cake
Guess the height of the cake - Keria T in Year 10

Alison Upson said ‘ I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributed by either baking or buying a cake, they were all greatly appreciated. Thank you also to everyone that brought a cake a made a donation today, we are very proud of the money we have raised. Finally, I would like to thank all the students who helped organise the event, well done.’
