Children’s Mental Health Week

KSA is supporting Children’s Mental Health Week from the 6-12 February 2023

KSA is supporting Children’s Mental Health Week from the 6-12 February 2023. The event aims to shine a spotlight on the importance of children’s mental health. This year the theme is ‘Let’s Connect’ and is about making meaningful connections. Connection is vital for our wellbeing. If we have healthy connections, it can support our mental health and sense of wellbeing.

During the week, students will be taking part in tutor time activities. Information is also displayed around the school and books are available in the library for students to read.

Take a look at ‘Top Tips for Parents and Carers’ showing you some simple ways you can connect with your child. Have a look at the links below to get further information about the event along with advice how to support your child.

Improving children’s mental health in schools – Place2Be

KSA is linked to the Mental Health Support Team who work as part of the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We are working together to improve KSA provision for students to help improve understanding of mental health but more importantly to provide support for the students here at KSA. As part of this process, we are undertaking a survey with students and parents/carers.

To take part please complete the survey using the link below. The deadline for replies is Friday 10th February 2023.
