A Show To Remember

A production by two Sixth Form Students went down a storm after a public staging.

Josh Farey and Curtis Smith put on their own version of the Wizard of Oz at the Masque Theatre in Barton Seagrave on the 3rd and 4th of March and more than 350 people came along to watch their impressive show.

Called Somewhere Over The Rainbow the production involved KSA students, who were auditioned by the Sixth Form students and then coached to a professional standard.

Josh, who is studying performing arts said: "It was a really stressful experience, but it was such a great show.

"The highlight for me was the audience cheers at the end and the feedback from people."

The students now hope to tour the play to primary schools.

Following the success of the show the acting and directing team have now launched the Act Up after school club which will take place on Thursday's in the drama studio from 3.30pm to 5pm.
