Careers Information Evening

Parents are invited to attend an information evening in Kettering to gain a greater understanding of the options available to young people when they leave school.

All Year 11 pupils are now legally required to remain in learning until they are 17.

Connexions Northamptonshire, in partnership with Northamptonshire County Council, is running a number of sessions across the county in January and February, entitled Building Skills for the Future. They are aimed at parents of pupils in years 10 to 13 and will cover an explanation of the Raising of the Participation Age, the changes to apprenticeships and options available both locally and nationally.

The Kettering event will take place on Tuesday 5th February at Kettering Buccleuch Academy in Weekley Glebe Road.

Independent careers advisors are now available almost every day at KSA to guide pupils through their next steps and provide advice on further/higher education and training.

Avril Bartley-Smith and Nicola Stanbridge, of TimelyAdvice, are interviewing all Year 11 pupils to identify career pathways.
