This year’s inter-department Christmas Tree Competition at Kettering Science Academy has been judged and the winners will be announced later today.
During CAPS time today, Thursday, Principal of KSA, Mr Paul Davies and Senior Leadership Team Associate, Mr Alan Jones took a walk around the Academy to view this year’s Christmas tree entries.
Each year departments are challenged to come up with the best decorated tree for their department, one that stands out above the rest and catches the judge’s eye.
The entries were marked on originality, creativity and levels of effort put into the decoration of the tree.
The departments’ trees were themed to their subjects with festive books on the communications and language tree, Periodic Table decorations on the science tree and music notes, hammer and cake decorations on the arts, music and industrial design tree.
Departments had also put up decorations across the wings including colourful paper chains and paper snowflakes.
