Anti-Bullying Information

The latest informative window display at the Secondary Phase library is reminding students about the anti-bullying message and asking for students to ‘Speak Out’ against it.
The display is part of the health and well-being information section in the library at Kettering Science Academy and has been created to coincide with the subject of ‘anti-bullying’ currently being discussed in CAPS time and being looked at by students in Year 7,  who are also working on a project on anti-bullying.
The messages on the display window include; asking students to ‘stand up and speak out’ against bullying by others in person, either verbally or physically and reporting cyber bullying that occurs via the internet.
The display also questions the feelings and emotions that bullying can provoke which can impact on an individual’s general health and well-being.
Head Librarian, Heidi Economou said: “The main aims of our window displays are to inform and create interest in various topics about health and well-being, but they are also chosen to reflect the topics being looked at by our students in lessons and we can help them with more in depth research for their projects, as well as providing useful resources to assist with their studies.”
