Following on from the successes of the first year of the Football Academy, in partnership with Kettering Town Football Club, the players from last year and new ones are in training for another good season of matches.
The first match for the side as part of the ECFA East Midlands Men’s Cat 3B League is tomorrow, Wednesday 16th September. It is an away match and the players will be travelling to Leicestershire to play against a team from the Advanced Development Football Academy.
KSA Football Academy manager and team captain for Kettering Town Football Club, Mr Steven Kinniburgh said: “We are going into the second year of the Football Academy with more confidence from the team and with great quality players.
“We are excited about the new season and we are looking forward to building on the successes of last year. We want to increase the number of wins we had last year and we are keen to reach the league’s district cup final again. Maybe even win it. ”
KSA’s Football Academy is part of the Secondary Phase's Sixth Form Provision and the student players train and play matches alongside their A level studies.

The team’s full fixtures list is available on the Football Academy page.
