Sports Festival Success

Our Year 8 Students were crowned champions for their sporting achievements at the most recent Brooke Weston Trust Sports Festival.

Our Year 8 Students were crowned champions for their sporting achievements at the most recent Brooke Weston Trust Sports Festival.
The event,  hosted at Corby Business Academy last term, saw a group of our students competing against other Year 8 students from the other Trust schools in a variety of sporting matches and they came first on points.
It was a closely fought competition with the first and second place schools of KSA and CBA separated by only a point to secure victory.
KSA PE Teacher Jessica Davis said how proud she was of all of our students who participated at the event and for the Academy’s win.
Miss Davis said: “All of our students worked really hard and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. It was great to see these students taking part in the activities that they had never participated in before and they all exceeded at the challenge of learning something new.”
CBA Director of PE Amy Harris said: “About 160 students from across the Trust took part in the festival and we were honoured to host the event for the second time.
“We would like to thank all the schools who attended and the Young Leaders who helped to run the event.”
Our KSA students also received praise for their teamwork shown in the dodgeball and handball matches and awarded for excellence in the volleyball and orienteering events.
