Ski trip success

A group of our students had a memorable experience on the Academy’s annual ski trip.
Over 40 students from Years 7 to 13 went on the week long residential trip to Austria. The students not only improved their skiing ability but improved their confidence and teamwork skills.
During the day, the students were able to work on their skiing skills and experience some of the local culture Austria has to offer. In the evenings, the students enjoyed movie nights, quiz nights and table tennis tournaments. They were also able to learn some dialect and practice this with waitors and waitresses.
On the final night of the trip, students took part in an awards night in which they received prizes for various achievements including most improved skier, most helpful skier, as well as more humourous titles including most spectacular fall without injury, most likely to fall whilst stationary, biggest wipeout of others and best dressed.
Trip organiser and PE teacher Mr Feely said ‘It was a brilliant trip and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Everyone helped and supported one another and we saw some great skiing from the students.’
Don’t forget there are still places available for the 2019 ski trip, please contact Mr Feely LFeely@ketteringscienceacademy.org for more information.
