Students produce calendars for Apprentice challenge
A group of Year 7 students recently took part in an apprentice style challenge in which they were tasked to design and produce a calendar.
The students had to make a proto type, plan a marketing strategy and produced marketing materials. They also had to cost and predict their profits and are currently embarking on a sales campaign.
The team that makes the most profit will win. This will be decided this week when they will return to the boardroom to be fired or hired.
All profits made will go to a charity of their choice.
Senior Assistant Principal Jane Watson said: ‘The students really enjoyed the challenge and got fully involved. Students have developed key skills such as their time management, leadership, teamwork, cooperation, initiative and independence.’
