Year 7 students took part in an archaeology event with a difference at Kettering Science Academy.
Students from Kettering Science Academy attended the Construction Engineering Festival hosted by Northampton College. This was a series of events held across the week to give young people a chance to experience different construction activities, listen to talks and discuss their future career and study options.
Year 8 girls visited the University of Northampton where they learned more about university life and took part in a number of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities.
To celebrate British Science Week, our science department organised a range of exciting activities to increase students’ engagement with the subject and allow them to explore possible career routes within the industry.
Nearly 70 students from three Brooke Weston Trust schools, including KSA, took part in an inspirational and hands-on science session, learning about medicine, dissection and major bodily organs in a simulated operating theatre.
To bring our ‘Careers’ term to an end, we held our first ever careers fair on Friday which provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore their options beyond school.
