Mr Matthew Fowler has completed his fifth London Marathon.
The humanities teacher was one of a record number of over 40,000 runners who took part in this year's event.
The keen runner completed the marathon in an impressive time of 2 hours 48 minutes, just three minutes behind his personal best.
Mr Fowler, who crossed the finishing line in 699th place, said ‘This year I did not run for a charity but have previously supported my local athletics club Kettering Harriers.
‘I’ve been unable to run for a year due to injury and only just started training again since January. I decided to participate this year as I had already booked my place and really enjoy the sport.’
Mr Fowler plans to run in the 2018 London Marathon and will compete in the EQINOX24 race in September, which challenges participants to a 24 hour mixed terrain race.
