Following on from the successful training day held at KSA in October – KSA’s Anti-Bullying Ambassadors recently launched their new roles.
The 22 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors wore something blue and unique to them to symbolise difference and how we as a community should embrace and value it.
During the day, tutor time was taken up with an activity around the importance of “Being an Upstander” and the students compared this to the role of a “Bystander”.
Mr Crane, who is responsible for the launch and overseeing the initiative at KSA, said ‘We are very proud of our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. They have some great ideas to promote equality and they are all looking forward to hosting a range of activities in December following on from the launch.
‘The students have put together an action plan of the campaigns that they will run during the course of the school year. This begins in December with the launch of an Anti-Bullying Ambassador Postbox to report incidents, an “Anti-Bullying Elf” competition and festive stockings to support self-esteem.
The Anti-Bullying Ambassador campaign is part of The Diana Award; so far, there are over 21,000 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in over 2,500 schools.
