The Academy is once again hoping to take a group of students on a ski trip to Austria where they will learn how to ski and enjoy a range of activities in the Zillertal Valley.

The trip will take place during February half term and will be fully organised by an approved specialist company.

The cost of the trip is estimated to be £760 and will include meals, 4 hours of tuition each day and hire of equipment including skis, poles, helmet and boots.

PE teacher Mr Feely said ‘ The students who went on the last trip all enjoyed the experience and learnt some valuable skills along the way. The students who have signed up for the trip next year are very excited and enthusiastic. Due to the vast amount we have on the reserve list, we would like to continue to offer our annual ski trip in 2019.’

Please note that students will be required to have their own passport in order to travel with at least 6 months before it expires and any permit or visas needed if they are not a British passport holder. They will also need a valid European Health insurance card in order to travel.

For more information about the trip email Mr Feely, LFeely@ketteringscienceacademy.org

Please note that your child’s behaviour and attendance record will be taken into consideration before they are accepted on this trip.  Registering of interest and payment of deposit does not guarantee your child a place, this will be confirmed once individual records have been reviewed.  We hope you understand that this is for the enjoyment and safety of all students on the trip.
