Over the weekend, a group of our students took part in a revision residential trip to Brecon Beacon.
The trip was aimed at helping them students maintain motivation, focus and engagement in the run up to their GCSE exams.
During the trip, the students took part in a hike up Pen-Y-Fan, the highest peak in south wales. The students all engaged in mind set activities and learnt a range of revision techniques based on core subjects whilst Associate principal Mr Segalini cooked dinner each night.
Mr Segalini said: ‘This weekend has taught the students a variety of skills. The challenging hikes tested the students both mentally and physically and led them to feel a great sense of achievement and realise that they can do anything they set their mind to. I hope they continue with this mentality as they prepare for their exams.
‘The trip has been a great success and I hope to make it a regular event to continue to help promote a strong learning and achievement culture and support students in being the best they can be.
‘Thank you to everyone who made the trip possible.’
