KSA student raises money for Young Carers Trust
KSA student Johnathan Vincent recently delivered two assemblies to Years 7 to 10 to raise awareness about the role of a young carer and the Young Carers Trust charity .
Johnathan is a young carer for his mum and visits a youth group monthly, arranged by the Young Carers Trust where he receives support and is allowed to have time to himself. He spoke to the students about being a young care, why he does it and what support the Young Carers Trust offers.
He, with the help of some of his fellow Prince's Trust students, held a fundraiser in the library on Friday with a chocolate tombola, cake sale and photo booth. He raised a whopping £200 after being given a donation from the Year 10 Enterprise group.
His assemblies and fundraiser will also allow him to gain an extra module in his Prince's Trust qualification.
