Students Fundraise In Memory Of Friend

A cheque for £500 was handed over by a group of Sixth Formers who raised money in memory of their friend who died after a fatal epileptic fit.

The group of four - Nathan Stevenson, Katie Robinson, Lauren Watson, Nikki Hammond and Ryan Davidson - organised a Charity Showcase last term.

Proceeds were donated to the charity SUDEP - Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy - following the tragic death of Nikki and Lauren's friend Jack Cheatley.

The 18-year-old died in June last year.

The group of KSA Sixth Formers handed a cheque over to Jack's mum, Mandy Cheatley, after their efforts to stage a night of entertainment paid off.

The show at the Masque Theatre in November was part of their Unit 2 Performing Arts course and included singers, a clown and a magician from the pool of talent at KSA.
