Year 7 student Ezri Mannion completed a sponsored swim of 6.8km to raise money for her house charities, Pseudomyxoma Survivor and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Ezri, who is a member of Hawking house, wanted to boost her tutor group's fundraising total so she decided to do the sponsored swim.
Ezri has been a member of Kettering Amateur Swimming Club for three years and is also part of the county development squad. She used her two-hour training session at Corby swimming pool to complete the challenge, swimming 272 lengths in two hours and beating her target of 6km.
Ezri said: "Every 15 minutes my mum would say how much I'd done and how much more I needed to do to reach 6km. Once I'd hit my target, I just floored it for the last 10 minutes. It's the furthest I have swam and although I was quite worn out when I'd finished, I was happy I'd done something for Hawking house and our charities.
"The sponsored swim was successful so I'd like to do it again."
Ezri collected sponsor money from friends and family, raising £134 for the two charities.
