I am sure many of you will be aware that we had an unplanned fire evacuation at the school this morning after one of our fire alarms was set off.

I firstly wanted to thank all students and staff for their calm, orderly and mature approach while we followed our processes, the emergency services attended the school, and the fire brigade completed their investigations.

Fortunately, the alarm was set off due to a minor electrical fault in our IT server room – no one was injured, and the fire brigade were able to quickly contain and resolve the matter.

As soon as the all clear notice was given to us by the fire services, students and staff have been able to return to the classrooms and continue with their lessons.
