New Curriculum For 2011/12

KSA has re-designed its curriculum for Years 9, 10 and 11 with new courses offering students a wider choice.

The curriculum for 2011/12 includes a Free Choices block, which has been designed to offer options for some students who would like to study courses at Tresham (Corby), Moulton College, Rockingham Speedway and at the Corby Training Centre.
There is a mixture of Level 1 (maximum grade D to G) and Level 2 (maximum grade A* to C) courses on offer.

Level 1 courses will be completed at the end of Year 10, allowing students to choose another course in Year 11.

The vocational courses include:

  • Engineering (Level 2)
  • Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles (Level 2)
  • Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy (Level 2)
  • Health Care and Early Years (Level 2)
  • Electrical Installations (Level 2)
