End of Term Message from The Principal
Another busy term at KSA
Dear Parents/carers
Here we are at the end of another busy term. Unfortunately, it has been punctuated by bad weather and industrial action, however we have endeavoured to maintain as seamless an education process as possible.
I know all the students are looking forward to the break, but I would like to spare a thought for year 11 and 13 who will be starting their exams in the new term. We will be having a full programme of revision sessions in the holidays to help support them.
Although it has been a challenging term the highlight has been spending time with the students who have received the most K points. We have had a series of lunches which I have greatly enjoyed, and the young people have been great company. This is something we will continue in the future.
Unfortunately, the end of term also is a time that some staff move on to pastures new. I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Franklin, Mr Feely, Mr Duncan, Mrs Johnson, Ms Poleworth, Mrs Frohawk and Miss Coles, and I am sure we all wish them well in their new schools.
I would like to welcome Mr Golding as head of year 8 and Mrs Heighton as head of year 9 as well as Mrs Todd who will be our new Education Welfare Officer.
I would like to remind everybody of our school uniform policy which is very clear. Black leggings of any sort are not school uniform and should not be worn. Girls must wear either tailored trousers or a black skirt that comes just above the knee. The Easter holidays affords the time to make sure that all students have the correct uniform and are fully equipped for the summer term. You can access the uniform page of our website by clicking on the link below.
It is essential that everybody returns to school on Tuesday 18th April ready to learn and being the best, they can be.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Easter and I look forward to working with you and your students as we move into the later part of the academic year.
