Curriculum Information Evening For Year 7 Families
A curriculum information event for parents of year 7 students was well attended, with families keen to find out how they can best support their child's learning.
The evening, on Tuesday 20th September, included details on the Academy's assessment procedures and the launch of the Information for Parents booklet. This contains comprehensive information about the curriculum and the topics and revision programme for each subject. Click here to read the booklet.
The event also included a short presentation on internet safety and parents looked more closely, in smaller groups, at the techniques they can use to support their child's numeracy and literacy during year 7.
Principal Martin Campbell said: "It's about creating more knowledgeable parents who can help their children to be successful and to inform them about what KSA does in the classroom."
Parents also learnt about the new online reporting system being introduced at the Academy. Using a personalised log-in, parents will be able to access their child's reports.
